


OBJECTIVE & PURPOSE
The D. Min. is an advanced professional Doctorate degree designed to prepare theologically qualified graduates to be enriched with doctoral level knowledge and skills in practical ministry and leadership. Hence, this doctoral study requires a higher level of academic learning as well as engaging in a research project. Therefore, a full-time student should be able to complete this program within a period of three years which includes four two-week modules [semesters] in the first two years, followed by one year of research writings. This program will include seminars, a comprehensive examination and dissertation.
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants with minimum of five years of ministry experience with successful completion of B.D. or M.Div. or equivalent degree with B+ [higher second class] or M.Th. with B grade [second class] or above, a second division score from a recognized institution/ college/ seminary with three years of ministry experience will be eligible to apply for the D. Min. degree course.

Candidate applying for D. Min. program should submit a letter of affirmation of work experience from the employing organization.
Applicants should pass the qualifying examinations during the time of the entrance examinations.
RESEARCH PAPER
A research paper written during your Master of Divinity degree (or educational equivalent).
To support your application for admission to the TGU Doctor of Ministry Program, please submit a research paper from your master’s work. It should be at least eight to ten pages, double-spaced, and include at least 10 relevant sources in the bibliography.

This paper should reflect your ability to do the following:
• Identify appropriate bibliography for the stated topic.
• Critically interact with bibliographic resources.
• Think biblically (including exegesis) and theologically about the subject.
• Organize your thoughts and write in a logical, coherent fashion.
• Utilize appropriate form and style in a consistent manner.
• Use correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

If you don’t have a research paper from your master’s level work that meets the above criteria, you may write a NEW ONE. It can be written on a topic of your choice, but must meet the above requirements regarding length, bibliography, etc.

FEES & EXPENSES
Total tuition and fees for the D.Min. Degree is approximately $20,850 over three years. Students pay approximately $6,950 per year. Charges are posted to student accounts in Summer, Fall and Spring semesters.
NOTE: All tuition and fees listed apply to the current academic year only, and are subject to change annually.

Other Expenses
In addition, students are responsible for the following costs per residency: lodging, most meals, textbooks, international visa fees, international student health insurance, and the cost of travel to and from campus. (Travel to and from campus may be covered for international students.) The estimated total of these expenses, not including travel, is approximately $1,200 to $2,200.
